Rivian

Rivian is an independent U.S. automotive company that manufactures electric adventure and delivery vehicles to accelerate a shift away from fossil fuels. Founded by an MIT graduate in 2009, in 2021 Rivian launched its first products onto the market, and joined the MIT LGO program to help boost this massive step change in operational capability. Based in California, Rivian has a manufacturing plant in Illinois and locations in Michigan, Arizona, Vancouver, and the UK.

Taylor Lyberger (LGO ’23)

LGO graduates have helped Rivian launch new vehicles, creating fundamental manufacturing processes, and also work on designing future products. LGOs serve in product and project manager roles across multiple Rivian sites.

Grant Hosinski (LGO ’22)

Chief of Staff, Product

Previous studies: Purdue University, Nuclear Engineering

Prior to LGO, Grant worked as an integrator and product architect on ASML’s EUV (extreme ultraviolet) lithography machines. During his LGO internship at Amgen he deployed an AI powered device to detect product safety incidents on the manufacturing line. Grant started at Rivian in 2022 as a Program Manager supporting the introduction of Rivian’s in-house electrical architecture on the R1T and R1S. He is now Chief of Staff to Rivian’s Chief Product Officer.

Clare Frigo (LGO ’21)

Clare worked at Johnson Controls in their lead-acid battery division for six years as an engineer and program manager prior to LGO. During LGO, she interned at Nike. Clare joined Rivian in June 2021 as part of their inaugural Leadership Development Program class. After serving as Lead Data Analytics Manager, she now serves as Chief of Staff to the VP for Manufacturing Operations.
