Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with a mission to make it safe and easy for people and things to get where they’re going. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has been focused on improving the world’s access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. To date, Waymo has driven tens of millions of miles on public roads and tens of billions of miles in simulation.
Waymo’s initial LGO interns will work on topics in supply chain and manufacturing, robot depot operations design, and product enablement.
Magoo Rustia (LGO ’18)

Prior to joining MIT LGO, Magoo launched her career at Mondelez International, leading the development of new chocolate products across the Asia Pacific region. After graduating from MIT, Magoo joined McKinsey, where she rose to Engagement Manager in the company’s operations practice. She transitioned back to industry at Google, where she led repair operations and new services in the company’s devices portfolio. In 2024 Magoo moved to Waymo, where she now manages fleet deployment and readiness products and tooling.
Olufemi Oti (LGO ’13)

Previous studies: University of Florida, Industrial Engineering
Prior to joining MIT LGO, Femi started his career in the GE Energy Operations Management Leadership Program and later led change management efforts to implement SAP in multiple GE service centers. After graduation, Femi joined Bain and Company as a Consultant and Case Team Leader before later entering the technology sector at a Series A startup, Beepi. He then moved over to Facebook where he supported Product Operations in the Small Business and AR / VR spaces before joining Waymo. He now leads teams that develop and execute simulation-based scenario tests to assess Waymo autonomous vehicles’ performance
Stephanie Tozer (LGO ’08)
Team Lead, Mapping Operations

Previous studies: University of Colorado-Boulder, Chemical Engineering
Stephanie’s first career was in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, working as a process engineer at Amgen before enrolling at LGO and then becoming a Technical Operations leader at Novartis after graduation. After an initial role as a program manager at Google, and an operations leadership stint at a startup called Zenefits, Stephanie joined Waymo in 2018. She now leads the team building and maintaining maps for use by the company’s autonomously driven vehicles.
