One of LGO’s newest partners, Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen (MR) is a global leader in electromechanical control systems for power transformers. MR joined the LGO partnership community to innovate and transform their company in the coming decades. Fifty percent of the world’s electricity goes through an MR device, and MR is eager to develop better operational workflow and react to changes in the energy market with new technologies and renewable energy innovations.
At MR, LGO students have the opportunity to experience Germany’s cutting-edge energy industry while working on MR’s competencies in integrating renewable generation into the grid, automation and smart grid design, and energy demands in developing countries.
MR offers internships in the Bavarian city of Regensburg, Germany, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a short one-hour train ride from Munich.
This year, MR’s first research project will analyze the supply chain of power electronics devices that the company produces.
