The thousand-plus members of the LGO alumni network offer each other, as well as current students, a family-like spirit of camaraderie and mutual support as well as a continuing passionate commitment to manufacturing and operations leading to lifelong career development opportunities.
LGO alumni interact with each other and the program in many ways throughout the year. They gather for the annual Alumni Conference to rekindle friendships and step back into the LGO experience with a plant tour. They are active participants in the recruitment of candidates to the program, and they help demonstrate the versatility of LGO graduates through their career paths at startups, LGO partner companies, and in many other operations-focused settings.
At plant trek stops, LGO alumni devote themselves to connecting current students with a global range of leading companies. Through regular web seminars, alumni at various points in their careers share their experiences and perspectives with each other and the broader LGO community. And an elected alumni representative sits on the program's Operating Committee.
"There's something extra special about LGO that people generally can't put their finger on, but it's a sense of community that I've never experienced anywhere else or heard of anywhere else."
— Leigh Hunnicutt, LGO '08
Senior Manager for Quality Assurance, Amgen, Inc.
Above all, LGO graduates remain a tight-knit community dedicated to supporting each other in their lives and careers, and convinced of the increasing value of their LGO education.
The LGO alumni are extraordinarily diverse in their career paths.
