Partner Companies
MIT's Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program is an academic and research partnership among MIT's School of Engineering, MIT Sloan School of Management, and industry. LGO is rooted in the belief that industry/academic partnership can have a tremendous influence on evolving the future of business, academia, and society, both locally and globally. LGO industry partners (see below) participate actively in LGO’s governance, admissions process, internships, faculty research, thesis development, and other initiatives.
Following are companies that partner with LGO.
ABB
Amazon.com, Inc.
Amgen Inc.
The Boeing Company
Cisco Systems, Inc.
Dell Inc.

General Motors Corporation
Genzyme Corporation
Honeywell International Inc.
Inditex, S.A. (Zara)
Intel Corporation
Kimberly-Clark Corporation
Northrop Grumman Corporation
Novartis AG
Raytheon Company
SanDisk Corporation

Benefits for LGO industry partners include:
- hiring LGO graduates – each LGO alum holds two degrees, an MBA and an SM in an engineering discipline
- sponsoring employees as students in the program
- sponsoring LGO internships, which focus on addressing critical problems in manufacturing and operations
- access to MIT faculty and research
- company-to-company networking and sharing of best practices
Many companies view their partnership with LGO as a way to build organizational strength. They incur return on investment over the short- and long-term by building a cadre of LGO graduates who speak the same language and operate as leaders and change agents within their organizations.
